Apple today released a new 15.2 software update designed for the HomePod and the HomePod mini. The HomePod 15.2 software adds support for the $4.99 per month Apple Music Voice Plan.
Software version 15.2 includes support for Apple Music Voice Plan, a new subscription tier designed to wangle music using Siri, and extends Siri voice recognition to new languages. This update moreover includes performance and stability improvements.
The update moreover adds several new languages to the HomePod. Support is now misogynist for the pursuit languages:
- Dutch (Belgium)
- Dutch (Netherlands)
- French (Belgium)
- French (Switzerland)
- German (Switzerland)
- Italian (Switzerland)
- Russian
HomePod software is installed automatically on the HomePod unless the full-length is disabled, but it can moreover be manually updated in the Home app by doing the following:
- Open the Home app.
- Tap on the home icon, which can be found in the upper left corner of the app display.
- If you have only one home set up, this will take you directly to settings, and you can skip directly to Step 5. If you have multiple homes set up, tap “Home Settings” on the sheet that pops up.
- Tap your desired home.
- Scroll lanugo to “Software Update.”
- Pull lanugo from the top of the iPhone or iPad screen to trammels for an update.
Once you’ve tapped on “Software Update,” you’ll see the current version of the HomePod software that is installed on your HomePod or HomePod mini. You can moreover toggle off will-less updates if you want.
